traditions intermingled for centuries, resulting in mutual enrichment and
evolution of what we now refer to as the Mediterranean Diet.
The concept goes for beyond the use of particular ingredients and recipes and
attains its full meaning in the conjuction of climate, geography, customs and
the ways of life of Mediterranean peples.
Today, the international scientific community has validated our claims trough
its unanimous recognition of the benefits of eating plentiful amounts of
Mediterranean foods: olive oil, legumes, cereals (rice, pasta and bread); fruit,
vegetables and nuts; cheese honey, milk, yogurt, fish and moderate amounts of
fresh and cured meats, wine and cava, something which our ancestors, in their
wisdom, had alredy discovered many hundreds of years ago.
