Doggie and Kittie had a birthday and they wanted to make a birthday cake. They didn’t know, how to do it, so they figured out their own recipe.
They prepared a very very big pot and put into it all the ingredients they like. And which ingredients were in?
Kittie took flour, milk and eggs and made a mixture. Then Doggie said: „The cake must be sweet!“ and put some sugar into the mixture. “And the cake should be salty,“ said Kittie and put some salt into the pot.
“Now we put fruit salat, butter, cheese, bacon, nuts, cucumber and bones in it!“ shouted Doggie. But it was nothing compared with Kittie: „I want mice in my cake. I like them very much and I like chocholate, cream, cocoa, sweets, cinnamon, lard, curd, gingerbread, raisin, cinders – so we put it into the mixture too“. „Of course, of course, I like these ingredients too, but what I love the best are sausages with onion, garlic, pepper and cabbage,“ said Doggie. They put a lot of other ingredients into the cake except bread, because dogs and cats don’t like bread at all.
Then they were blending this mixture for a long time. The cake was as big as a car wheel.
They put the cake into an oven a baked it. When it was finished, they put it outside on a door step to cool it down.
They went to invite their friends to celebrate the birthday together. They were looking forward to the birthday cake, but they weren’t the only ones. A strange big fat bad and horrible dog was walking along their house. He saw a cake, so he got an idea that it would taste well. He really felt like having a cake.... Mmmmmm...... He started to eat the cake: „Wow, it tastes wonderfull, what great ingredients!!“
But after few minutes....
He got a very hard stomach ache: „Oh, oh, oh, it hurts, what a stupid idea to eat the cake, what a bad cook who made this cake....“ He was lying on the ground suspiring...
When Kittie and Doggie came back, they saw the situation.
The bad dog ate their birthday cake, but they were really pleased not having eaten the cake with any children. They learned that cats and dogs weren’t good cooks.
They celebrated their birthday with children without the real cake. Never mind. They spent funny afternoon and they enjoyed it.
For the next birthday they will buy the cake in the confectionery.
