CEFI - Uvira, Congo D.R.
The school building has nine rooms, without
cements on the ceiling and the walls, some pupils are sitting on the stones, as the desks were used by the
refuges and the militaries during the wars periods in October 1996 and August 1998 in East of
D. R. Congo,
the parents aren't able to pay the school materials for their children (school fees,
copy-books, pens, books...) and the teachers get the assistance of 20$us each months from the parents
contribution and
these money are very few according to the life situation. We have 13 teachers at primary school, and
4 teacher at secondary school, and 3 teacher for the deaf school. We don't have the toilet for the pupils
as all the materials had been looted during that worst period
