We can find four different varieties such as :

 
The Corne
this rustic variety has a sweet, subtle taste.
 
The Marbot
this traditional vatiety is bigger than the Corne and its shell is tenderer. The shelled walnuts are particularly white and refined.
 
The Grandjean
this walnut has a typical round shape and the shelled walnuts have a slight bitter taste.
 
The Franquette
this walnut meets with universal approval since it has a delicate taste of hazelnuts.
             
These 4 varieties are available in 3 different products
 
Early or fresh walnuts
They have to be kept in a cool place and consumed quickly.
 
Dried walnuts
They have to be kept in a cool and dry place and can be eaten all the year.
 
Shelled walnuts
They are particularly used in pastry, bakery or chocolate but you can also eat them as a snack between meals or with a drink !
