Easter eggs from Bela Krajina
These are the most famous Slovene easter eggs – pisanice.
They are decorated with wax, black and red colour or with onion peel and vinegar.
The eggs must be white. The famous patterns are made with a sharp blade or with
a razor. When the patterb is finished we smear the egg with some oil or butter
to make them shine.
