Back Up Next

Pasta
Olive oil
Wine

By the means of the sea routes, Greek, Roman, Phoenicians, Carthaginian, Arab and Oriental products and traditions intermingled for centuries, resulting in mutual enrichment and evolution of what we now refer to as the Mediterranean Diet.

The concept goes for beyond the use of particular ingredients and recipes and attains its full meaning in the conjuction of climate, geography, customs and the ways of life of Mediterranean peples.

Today, the international scientific community has validated our claims trough its unanimous recognition of the benefits of eating plentiful amounts of Mediterranean foods: olive oil, legumes, cereals (rice, pasta and bread); fruit, vegetables and nuts; cheese honey, milk, yogurt, fish and moderate amounts of fresh and cured meats, wine and cava, something which our ancestors, in their wisdom, had alredy discovered many hundreds of years ago.

The Mediterranean Diet is a way of life based on;

bulletA feeding habit composed of a combination of traditional or up to date ingredients utilizing modern technologies.
bulletRecipes and local ways of cooking.
bulletCultures and typical ways of life in the Mediterranean
