Food Additives
Back Up Next

In this world of ours today the use of pre-packed, processed and packaged foods is common. However, have you seen all those weird numbers on the packages where it says preservatives and colours. Have you wondered what they are. We are pleased to be able to supply you with the names of the things behind those numbers.

Some of the additives and preservatives used in processed foods can bring about hyperactivity, headaches, allergic reactions. Some can be a trigger to asthmatics and other medical conditions.

In each country food regulations determine and control the amount and type of food additives added to particular foods. It is advisable to check with your health organisations in your country for the guidelines and control. Your doctor should also be able to give you a chart of the various additives used in your country.
