Ingredients (Serves 5-6)
Biscuit
pastry
55 g butter
20 g caster sugar
1 g salt
1 small egg
125 g flour
Filling
1 egg
35 g caster sugar
40 g brown sugar
2 g baking powder
50 g thickened cream
60 g shelled walnuts chopped small and shelled walnuts to decorate
8 g Grand Marnier or Brandy |
How to proceed
• Cream butter in small bowl with electric mixer until smooth, add sugar and egg,
beat only until combined
• Stir in the flour until ingredients cling together
• Refrigerate for 30 minutes
• Place egg, sugar and cream in a bowl, beat them together
• Add melted butter and alcohol
• Line a 23 cm flan tin, spread walnuts and the filling in the flan tin
• Bake in a 160°C oven for 25 minutes, then remove the cake from the oven
• When cool, decorate with shelled walnuts and icing sugar
