Swedish turnip mash with apple

Ingredients:
(10 portions)

about 1 kg Swedish turnips
3-4 apples
about 3 dl applejuice
1 dl whipped cream
about 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon blackpepper
1 tablespoon syrup

Peel the swedish turnips and the apples and cut them into clefts. Boil them in applejuice until they get soft. Pour off the cooking liquid but save it.
Mash the soft swedish turnips and the apples into a smooth mash. The easiest way is to do it with a food processor or with a stickmixer. After that stir down the cooking liquid and the cream. Salt and spice with pepper and syrup. Serve the swedish turnip- and apple mash warm with meat or turkey.
