He was born in Dubrovnik. His talent was noticed from his early childhood. He started thinking about painting as a profession while he was in grammar school. He likes nature very much and he spends holidays in the village Smokvica on the island of Korčula. He enters The Academy of Painting in 1958 and after graduation he comes back to Dubrovnik. He wanted to see world famous paintings, so he spent four years in Europe. He came back in 1969 and worked as a teacher and as a painter. He took part in a number of exhibition in the country and abroad.
