He was born and finished grammar school in Slavonski Brod, where Jeronim Miše was his teacher. He took degree of The Zagreb University in 1932.he worked in Zagreb, Vinkovci, Čakovec and Nova Gradiška. He painted portraits, landscapes and still natures, most often in water colours. He is painter of colours in shades, mainly darker ones and he puts them in ranges of harmonious units. He respected old famous masters such as Velasquez, Goya, Delacroix and Corot.
